The general decision rule for conformity statements in test reports is as follows:
The conformity statement is: meet the requirement or not meet the requirement.
The requirement was evaluated based on a one-sided confidence level of 97.5%.
Specific risk is used for risk evaluation (w = 0, AL = TL).

  • Passed:
Measured values (geometric means) are equal to or higher than the requirement.
The distribution of measured values lies within the tolerance limits.
  • Fail:
Measured values (geometric means) fall below the requirement.

Note:

Decision rules contained in applicable standards or specified by the customer take precedence over this general rule.
