At the 3rd German Symposium for Trenchless Pipe Renewal (Deutsches Symposium für die grabenlose Leitungserneuerung), Dr. J. Hessel presented the latest standards for PE pipes as outlined in PAS 1075, supporting their safe and efficient use in alternative installation methods.
The 3rd Deutsches Symposium für die grabenlose Leitungserneuerung (German Symposium on Trenchless Pipe Renewal) took place on September 10-11, 2008, at the University of Siegen. Organized by the Wastewater and Waste Technology Department of the Water and Environment Research Institute, the event aimed to broaden the range of relevant topics. The two-day lecture series focused on wastewater technology, as well as water and gas supply, and was complemented by a technical exhibition.
As part of this symposium, Dr. J. Hessel delivered a presentation titled:
"Polyethylene Pipes for Alternative Installation Methods - The New PAS 1075."
In this presentation, he discussed the properties, requirements, and testing methods of PE pipes for alternative installation techniques in accordance with the new PAS 1075. The goal was to establish the fundamentals for using these pipes while ensuring their quality and safety.
