50 years of polyethylene piping - Engineering perspective

The advantages of the Full Notch Creep Test (FNCT) as a time-saving testing method for the reliable assessment of the stress crack behavior of polyethylene materials according to DIN 8075.

The test of real-time creep strength according to DIN 8075 is no longer meaningful for certain materials, which is why time-saving testing methods have been developed. The Full Notch Creep Test (FNCT) enables a reliable assessment of the stress crack behavior of polyethylene materials within reasonable testing times and meets the conditions for safe extrapolation to operating conditions.
