Qualitätssicherung für grabenlos verlegbare Rohre aus Polyethylen

In his presentation at the 2nd Deutschen Symposium für grabenlose Leitungserneuerung (German Symposium on Trenchless Pipeline Renewal), Dr. J. Hessel outlined six years of quality assurance for polyethylene pipes. He discussed the entire process, from raw material testing to advanced aging tests, which ensure consistently high quality in the pipes.

In Dr. J. Hessel's presentation, the quality assurance for trenchless installation of polyethylene pipes over a period of more than six years is described. Measures are presented, from batch testing of raw materials to penetration and thermal aging tests, to ensure consistently high quality. Various testing methods, such as the Full Notch Creep Test (FNCT) and the Accelerated Creep Test (ACT), are used to evaluate material properties, with the validation of these tests and the integrity assessment after pipe installation also being addressed.
