The 16th Wiesbadener Kunststoffrohrtage (Wiesbaden Plastic Pipe Days) in 2012 served as a platform for professionals to discuss the latest developments in polymer-based piping systems. Organized by TÜV SÜD, the event showcased technological advancements and innovative testing methods in the industry.
The 16th Wiesbadener Kunststoffrohrtage (Wiesbaden Plastic Pipe Days), held in 2012, served as an international forum for polymer-based piping systems. This was the second time TÜV SÜD organized the event, which highlighted the latest trends and innovations in the plastics industry. A key presentation was given by Dipl.-Ing. J. Grieser, focusing on the development of acceptance criteria for defects in welded joints.
Additionally, the TestPEP project was introduced, a European-funded initiative aimed at developing automated non-destructive testing (NDE) methods for welded plastic pipe joints. This project received funding from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme, managed by the REA - Research Executive Agency (FP7-SME-2008-2), under Grant Agreement No. 243791.
